Local Development | Renewable Energy | Waste Recycling | Ethical Product Sources
N7 Capital is a key player in investing in local community projects. We are continuously working with Local Authorities in the United Kingdom to promote eco friendly environments and other key initiatives linked to sustainable living. As a company policy, N7 Capital strives to:
- Promote a greener community by using recyclable materials and renewable sources of energy where feasible.
- Create jobs for the in the local community.
- Participate in youth programs.
- Promote healthy living.
- Bringing fun and vibrancy to areas where we operate.
At N7 Capital, we believe that it is important to reduce our production of Carbon dioxide (CO2) and green house gas emissions because of the adverse effects on our planet.
At the Kyoto Summit in 1997, the UK agreed to a 12.5% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions to reach and maintain a level below 1990 levels for the period between 2008 and 2012. When you consider this target with the spiralling cost of energy and the fact a third of carbon emissions are generated in residential accommodation and by small businesses, a solution is urgently required. A renewable energy or energy saving solution can have a big impact on eliminating N7 Capital contribution to global warming. These factors are the basis of N7 Capital ventures into renewable energy, where possible. N7 Capital’s solutions are disguised through cleaner transportation and/or cleaner energy generation solutions.
Research has shown that most developing countries have abundant renewable energy resources such as geothermal energy, solar energy, wind power, and biomass. In addition, developing countries often have the ability to produce the labor-intensive systems that harness such energy sources. This reflection has prompted N7 Capital to invest in ventures that promote products and business that drive clean energy in developing countries. N7 Capital currently has a big drive across West Africa to harness such energy and supply to the mass population.
N7 Capital has established relationships with multi-national waste management companies in the United Kingdom to provide waste management services specifically for recycled used products. The N7 Capital venture operates in designated sites and offers a waste consultancy service to the local community. N7 Capital’s green credentials are demonstrated by the use of environmentally friendly vehicles to transport waste.
It is important to note that the European Union Waste Framework Directive states that 50% of household wastes are to be reused or recycled by 2020 in the United Kingdom. DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs) & WRAP (Waste & Resource Action Programme) are working with UK stakeholders to change the way food packaging is provided in Europe. N7 Capital welcomes and supports these directives in the waste management sector.
N7 Capital believes in the fair treatment of farmers and produce developers world-wide and most importantly we believe in the fair treatment of operators in the developing world. Where possible, N7 Capital ensures the produce it purchases (e.g. organic produces) originate from farmers under fair-trade standards. N7 Capital is also in partnership with communities in the developing world in order to improve living standards and the efficiency of crop production.
